Dhaka-- (UNB) - Bangladesh will receive Tk 42 crore as grant from Norway for implementing a rural electrification project.

An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh and Norway here yesterday.

Rural Electrification Board will implement the project, “Area Coverage Rural Electrification Phase-VB, Gaibandha PBS”, aiming to supply power in 5 upazilas of Gaibandha district.

ERD Secretary Dr Masihur Rahman and Norwegian Ambassador to Bangladesh Gerd Wahlstrom signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments.
