Chittagong-- (UNB) – Even though the gainers dominated the losers, trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange ended lower for the second straight day yesterday (Monday).

The CSE All Share Price Index lost 1.18 points or 0.08 percent to close at 1374.70 points from Sunday’s 1375.88 points.

Of the 48 listed securities traded yesterday, 22 gained, 18 declined and eight remained unchanged.

Some 228,715 shares and debentures worth Tk 2.43 core changed hands as against 253,790 shares valued at Tk 2.63 on the previous trading day.

Quasem Drycells (63,800), Niloy Cement Industry (46,900) and Beximco Pharmaceutical (27,350) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 56.41 billion from Tk 56.45 billion on Sunday.
