Dhaka-- (UNB) - Norway is willing to cooperate with Bangladesh in socioeconomic development of the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Norwegian Ambassador to Bangladesh Gerd Wahlstorm gave the hint when she called on Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Kalpa Ranjan Chakma at his office here yesterday.

The Norwegian envoy praised the clauses of CHT peace accord and said she found a congenial atmosphere in the hill districts for foreign investment during her recent visit to the region.

In response, the Minister said Norway has been a development partner of Bangladesh for long and it will continue its cooperation in development of Bangladesh, according to a handout.
