Chittagong-- (UNB) – The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked a rise yesterday as the gainers strongly outnumbered the losers.

The CSE All Share Price Index gained 5.86 points or 0.42 percent to close at 1372.68 points from Tuesday’s 1366.82 points.

Of the 41 listed securities traded yesterday, 26 gained, seven declined and eight remained unchanged.

Some 230,610 shares and debentures valued at Tk 2.83 crore were transacted as against 230,280 shares worth Tk 1.44 crore on the previous trading day.

Niloy Cement Industry (58,350), Chic Tex (38,500) and Paragon Leather (25,650), were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 56.35 billion from Tk 56.44 billion on Tuesday.
