Dhaka-- (UNB) – Bangladesh will receive 160.82 million Danish Kroner equivalent to approximately Tk 108.50 crore donations from Denmark under two separate agreements.

The agreements between the two governments were signed in the Economic Relations Division here yesterday (Tuesday).

Of the total amount, 148.50 million Kroner or approximately Tk 100 crore will be utilised by the Roads and Railways Division for the major roads programmes in Patuakhali and Barguna.

The rest 12.78 million Kroner or Tk 8.50 crore will be used by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock in implementing the project for policy and planning support unit of the ministry.

ERD Secretary Dr Masihur Rahman and Charge d’ Affaires of the Royal Danish Embassy in Dhaka Ove Fritz Larsen signed the agreements on behalf of their respective governments.
