Dhaka-- (UNB) – A three-member Bangladesh delegation led by Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury left here yesterday (Tuesday) on a 4-day official visit to France.


She will attend a ministerial conference of WTO to negotiate issues on agriculture in developing nations to be held in Paris today (Wednesday).


In the conference, the minister will argue for the preferential access of Bangladesh products to EU market, continuation of GSP facilities and reduction of export subsidy for Bangladesh products.


She will meet her French counterpart Jean Glavany and discuss matters of bilateral and mutual interests. Regional and international issues will also come up for discussion.


Besides, the minister is scheduled to meet with the Member of European Commission for Agriculture and Fisheries Franz Fischler.
