Committee discusses about impediments to ADP implementation |

Dhaka-- (UNB) - A meeting of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Planning Ministry yesterday discussed measures to remove impediments to ADP implementation. The meeting was informed that Tk 16,500 crore was sanctioned in the last fiscal year for 1,293 projects and the rate of ADP implementation this year was 94 percent, the highest in last 10 years, said an official handout. It stressed the need for involvement of public representatives in the formulation and implementation of the projects, developing skills in implementing projects and ensuring transparency and accountability. The meeting, chaired by committee chairman Enamul Huq, was attended by its members Science and Technology Minister Lt Gen (retd) M Nuruddin Khan, Prof Mohammad Ali Ashraf, Prof Jannatul Ferdous and GM Fazlul Huq. State Minister for Planning Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir was present on special invitation. |
