World Vision's allocation to fight AIDS in Afro-Asian countries

Dhaka-- (UNB) – World Vision, an International Christian Human and Development organization, has allocated US dollar 30 million equivalents to Tk 160 crore to fight AIDS in Afro-Asian countries including Bangladesh.


The organization’s International President, Dr Dean Hirsch, will announce the AIDS Prevention Scheme in Melbourne of Australia today on the World AIDS day, said a press release.


World Vision Bangladesh has been addressing the problem of AIDS through its special project “Mongla HIV/AIDS Prevention project” at Mongla Sea Port since 1993.


It is organizing special meetings, symposia, seminars and rallies at its 36 Area Development Programmes (ADPs) with a view to raise public awareness against AIDS so that no person, specially within its project areas are attacked by this deadly disease.
