Chittagong-- (UNB) – The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange finished higher yesterday (Wednesday) as the gainers dominated the losers.

The CSE All Share Price Index gained 2.57 points or 0.18 percent to close at 1383.53 as against 1380.96 points on Tuesday.

Of the 51 listed securities traded yesterday, 21 gained, 27 declined and three remained unchanged.

Some 569,350 shares and debentures worth Tk 3.68 crore were transacted yesterday as against 707,015 shares valued at Tk 3.35 crore on the previous trading day.

AIMS First Mutual Fund (252,500), Paragon Leather (82,050), Niloy Cement Industry (68,900) and Quasem Dry Cell Ltd (49,400) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 54.64 billion against Tk 54.56 billion on Tuesday.
