Chittagong--(UNB) – The downward spiral at Chittagong Stock Exchange continued (Tuesday) with the losers outnumbering the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index shed 0.55 points or 0.03 percent to close at 1404.33 points from Monday’s 1404.88 points.

Of the 51 listed securities traded yesterday, 14 gained, 26 declined and 11 remained unchanged.

Some 447,105 shares and debentures valued at Tk 4.07 crore changed hands as against 1,266,685 shares worth Tk 2.61 crore on the previous trading day.

Chictex Limited (89,000), AIMS First Mutual Fund (72,500), Beximco Pharma (35,200), Aramit (32,950) and Meghna Cement (32,250) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 53.20 billion from Tk 53.22 billion on Monday.
