102 % of target realized from taxes related to NRB

Sangsad Bhaban--(UNB) - Taka 5240.03 crore was realised till October of the current fiscal year as revenue from taxes related to National Revenue Board, the Parliament was informed yesterday (Sunday).

The amount is 101.93 per cent of the target for the period, Finance Minister Shah AMS Kibria said replying to a question that stood in the name of M Fazlul Azim (BNP-Noakhali).

Besides, he informed, Tk 180 crore was realised till July-August 2000 from taxes outside of NBR and Tk 951 crore realised during July-August from tax-excluded sources.

In reply to Kazi Sirajul Islam (Awami League), the finance minister said Tk 3017.02 crore was earned as import duty till July-October, 2000. The amount is Tk 487.36 crore more than the corresponding period last year.
