Dhaka-- (UNB) - The price index at the Dhaka Stock Exchange posted a slight rise yesterday (Tuesday) despite the losers dominated the gainers.

The DSE All Share Price Index rose by 0.59 points or 0.09 per cent to close at 646.06 points from Monday's 645.47 points.

Of the 147 listed securities traded yesterday, 78 declined, 53 advanced and 16 remained unchanged.

Some 2,171,693 shares and debentures valued at TK 16.11 crore were transacted as against 2,621,719 shares worth Tk 17.78 crore on the previous trading day.

AIMS First Mutual Fund (342,500), Sino Bangla (144,500), Beximco Pharma (132,350), Rangpur Foundry (128,000) and Miracle Industry (127,500) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 61.32 billion from Tk 61.26 billion on Monday.
