Dhaka-- (UNB) - The newly elected executive council of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) will take over the office at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the apex trade body today (Wednesday).

Incumbent president Abdul Awal Mintoo and his council will hand over the charge to the new committee elected for the 2000-2002 term.

Yussuf Abdullah Harun and Mohammad Ali have been made president and vice president respectively of the 32-member committee.

However, 31 members of the committee are expected to take over the office as one of the elected members Selima Ahmed of the Association Group resigned from the new committee, FBCCI sources said.
