Chittagong-- (UNB) – The price index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked rise yesterday (Saturday) although losers dominated the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index rose by 3.88 points or 0.27 percent to close at 1439.15 points from Thursday’s 1435.27 points.

Of the 58 listed securities traded yesterday, 25 gained, 28 declined and five remained unchanged.

Some 917,877 shares and debentures valued at Tk 5.69 crore changed hands as against 1,012,480 shares worth Tk 6.69 crore on Thursday.

Paragon Leather (186,500), AIMS First Guaranteed (135,000) Prime Textile Spinning (81,900),Sino Bangla Industries (63,000) and Ashraf Textile Mills (39,200) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 54.41 billion from Tk 54.27 billion on Thursday.
