Chittagong (UNB) – The price index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked a fall today as the losers dominated the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index dropped by 5.93 points or 0.41 percent to close at 1437.24 points from Tuesday’s 1443.17 points.

Of the 69 listed securities traded today, 18 gained, 40 declined and 11 remained unchanged.

Some 858,450 shares and debentures valued at Tk 6.66 crore were transacted as against 1,878,996 shares worth Tk 10.21 crore on the previous trading day.

Paragon Leather (165,550), Sino Bangla (134,500), Niloy Cement Industry (89,000), AIMS First Guaranteed (60,000), and Chic Tex Ltd (55,000) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 54.35 billion from Tk 54.56 billion on Tuesday.
