Dhaka (UNB) – The price index at Dhaka Stock Exchange finished higher today posting a gain of 1.51 percent in its benchmark.

The DSE all Share Price Index gained 9.87 points or 1.51 percent to close at 661.86 points from Sunday’s 651.99 points.

Of the 167 listed securities traded today, 131 gained, 30 declined and six remained unchanged.

Some 5,011,252 shares and debentures valued at Tk 33.30 crore were transacted as against 2,546,523 shares worth at Tk 18.13 crore on the previous day.

AIMS First Mutual Fund (1,032,500), Beximco Pharma (376,550), Paragon (305,250), Sino Bangla (297,000), Quasem Drycells (249,600) and Bionic Food (248,000) were among the day’s volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 62.82 billion as against Tk 61.88 billion on Sunday.
