Dhaka-- (UNB) – With the increased turnover both in terms of value and volume, the price index at Dhaka Stock Exchange posted 5.87 points rise yesterday.

The DSE all Share Price Index gained 0.91 per cent or 5.87 points to close at 649.89 points from Wednesday’s 644.02 points.

Of the 160 listed securities traded yesterday, 92 gained, 50 declined and 18 remained unchanged.

Some 5,740,029 shares and debentures valued at Tk 21.49 crore changed hands as against 2,505,078 shares worth Tk 16.11 crore crore on the previous trading day.

Aims First Mutual Fund (3,567,500), Sino Bangla (271,000), Beximco Pharma (201,100), Miracleind (156,500), Raspit (140,500), NCC Bank (144,200) and Fu Wang (101,500) were among the day’s volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 61.68 billion from Tk 16.12 billion on Wednesday.
