Dhaka-- (UNB) - Although the turnover both in terms of value and volume increased, the price index at Dhaka Stock Exchange closed lower yesterday.

The DSE all Share Price Index shed 0.09 points or 0.01 percent to close at 644.02 points from Tuesday's 644.11 points.

Of the 154 listed securities traded yesterday, 56 gained, 80 declined and 18 remained unchanged.

Some 2,505,078 shares and debentures valued at Tk 16.11 crore were transacted as against 3,317,852 shares worth Tk 16.65 crore on the previous trading day.

Miracleind (405,500), Fu Wang Food (163,000), Raspit (138,500), Beximco Pharma (138,050) and NCC Bank (117,050) were among the day's volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 16.12 billion from Tk 61.13 billion on Tuesday.
