Dhaka-- (UNB) – The main index at Dhaka Stock Exchange nose-dived yesterday (Monday) as the losers strongly dominated the gainers.

The DSE all Share Price Index lost 6.47 points or 0.61 percent to close at 643.27 points from Sunday’s 649.74 points.

Of the 165 listed securities traded yesterday, 46 gained, 101 declined and 18 remained unchanged.

Some 4,507,935 shares and debentures worth Tk 15.13 crore changed hands as against 1,082,070 shares valued at Tk 9.05 crore on the previous trading day.

Miracleind (990,500), Fu Wang Food (806,500), Raspit (770,000) and Beximco Pharma (293,950) were among the day’s volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 61.05 billion from Tk 61.66 billion on Sunday.
