Patuakhali (UNB) – A 14-member DANIDA delegation, led by its Chairman Holger Bernt Hansen, arrives here today (Tuesday) to see the projects being implemented with financial assistance from the donor agency.

Officials said ‘DPHE-DANIDA Water Supply and Sewerage Project’ was implemented here costing Tk 2.71 crore.

Another project will be implemented in the poura area at a cost of Tk 1.3 crore. The project works include construction of pucca drainage, public toilets, culverts and dustbins and installation of tubewells.

Meanwhile, DPHE has begun construction of a 700-cubic metre capacity overhead tank in the municipal area with assistance from DANIDA.

Other projects include construction of a reservoir, five pump houses and installation of 40-km water supply pipeline.
