Chittagong-- (UNB) – The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange closed lower yesterday as the losers dominated the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index shed 11.50 points or 0.81 percent to close at 1406.60 points from Tuesday’s 1418.11 points.

Of the listed 69 securities traded yesterday , 18 gained, 39 declined and 12 remained unchanged.

Some 559,765 shares and debenture valued at Tk 4.44 crore changed hands as against 479,259 shares worth Tk 3.07 crore on the previous trading day.

Beximco Pharma (233,850), Advance Chemical (41,950) and Sinobangla Industries (35,000) were among the day’s volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 53.21 billion from Tuesday’s Tk 53.57 billion.
