Chittagong-- (UNB) – Trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange closed lower yesterday due to slumping trade.

The CSE All Share Price Index shed 2.74 points or 0.19 percent to close at 1413.81 points from Sunday’s 1416.55 points.

Of the 67 listed securities traded yesterday, 30 gained, 28 declined and nine remained unchanged.

Some 607,823 shares and debentures valued at Tk 4 crore changed hands.

Sino Bangla (101,500), BD Welding (88,500) and Beximco Pharma (66,600) were among the day’s volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 53.42 billion.
