Dhaka-- (UNB) – The main index at Dhaka Stock Exchange marked a slight rise yesterday although the turnover both in terms of value and volume decreased.

All Share Price Index in the country’s main bourse rose by 1.21 points or 0.18 percent to close at 647.27 points from 646.06 points on Sunday.

Of the 151 listed securities traded yesterday, 79 gained, 45 declined and 27 remained unchanged.

Some 2,857,033 shares and debentures valued at Tk 20.24 crore changed hands as against 2,962,915 shares worth Tk 20.52 crore on the previous trading day.

AIMS First Mutual Fund (460,000), Beximco Pharma (315,650), Bionic Food (189,500), Samata Leather (199,450) and NCC Bank (125,600) were among the day’s volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 61.43 billion as against Tk 61.32 billion on Sunday.
