Steps to turn Bangladesh Biman airlines profitable |

Dhaka-- (UNB) – A parliamentary watchdog has directed the authorities concerned to take all possible steps to turn Bangladesh Biman into a profitable organisation. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry at a meeting yesterday also reviewed the progress of implementation of its earlier decisions. Held at Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Bir Bahadur MP in the chair, the meeting called for taking pragmatic steps to reduce the sufferings of passengers at airports, improvement of passenger service, beefing up security and removal of structural weakness and limitations. The meeting called upon all concerned to sincerely perform their own duties to make Biman, the national flag carrier, as a dynamic organisation. Committee members Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Engineer Musharraf Hossain, Muhammad A Sattar, Muhammad Atiur Rahman Atique, Hosne Ara Wahid, Abdul Mannan, Syed Manjur Hossain and Kazi Shah Mofazzel Hossain attended the meeting. Senior officials of the ministry were present. |
