Chittagong-- (UNB) – The price index at Chittagong Stock Exchange continued to rise yesterday (Thursday) with the increase turnover of both in terms of volume and value.

The CSE All Share Price Index gained 11.79 points or 0.86 per cent to close at 1378.58 points from Wednesday’s 1366.78 points.

Of the 52 listed securities traded yesterday, 30 gained, 13 declined and nine remained unchanged.

Some 1,232,400 shares and debentures worth Tk 4.57 crore were transacted as against 652,005 shares valued at Tk 3.96 crore on the previous trading day.

AIMS First Guaranteed (655,000), Beximco Pharma (279,700), Sino Bangla (54,500), Shine Pukur Holdings (47,400) and Chic Textile (41,500) were among the day’s volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 52.24 billion from Wednesday’s Tk 51.83 billion.
