Chittagong-- (UNB) – Although the turnover both in terms of value and volume decreased, the price index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked a slight rise yesterday (Wednesday).

The CSE All Share Price Index gained 1.79 points or 0.13 percent to close at 1366.78 points from Tuesday’s 1365.00 points.

Of the 53 listed securities traded yesterday , 22 gained, 21 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

Some 652,005 shares and debentures worth Tk 3.96 crore were transacted as against 962,931 shares valued at Tk 5.05 crore on the previous trading day.

Beximco Pharma (369,500), Shine Pukur Holdings (54,900), Advanced Chemical (38,700), AIMS First Guaranteed (25,000) and Fu Wang Food (24,000) were among the day’s volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 51.83 billion from Tuesday’s Tk 53.47 billion.
