Dhaka-- (Bangla2000 news-desk) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emphasized sincere efforts of all to regain the country’s lost glory in international shipping business.

“Since early days, the seafarer Bangalees have been associated with maritime transportation,” she said on the eve of World Maritime Day.

She said the observance of World Maritime Day in riverine Bangladesh is very significant as maritime transportation plays a vital role in socioeconomic activities of the country.

“Our heritage in shipbuilding is quite old. From the ancient time, we have been exchanging knowledge, techniques and experiences in this regard,” the Prime Minister said.
