Apr 25 (UNB) – A man was condemned to 10 years rigorous imprisonment
by a court here in an arms case.
According
to prosecution, local people at Kerani para in Shakhipur thana caught
Abul Bashar and Darog Ali of Haidarabad in Gazipur along with a pistol
while they were preparing for committing a dacoity on July 8, 1997.
They were later handed over to police.
After
examining the records and witnesses, the Judge found Darog Ali guilty
of possessing unauthorized arms and delivered the judgement on April
17. The other accused was acquitted for lack of evidence.
