Tangail, Apr 21 (UNB)- Police seized 350 bottles of Indian phensidyl from the rooftop of a bus on Bangabandhu bridge connecting road Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, police halted the Dhaka-bound bus coming from Chapainawabganj and recovered the drug. But there was no arrest.

Another report adds: Plainclothes police arrested an alleged terrorist from near old bus-stand of the town on Sunday.

The arrested was identified as Moshtaque, who was wanted in a number of cases, including that of killing, snatching and extortion. On the day of arrest, he snatched Tk 1,700 from a trader of the area.
