Dec 12 (UNB) – Power Development Board realised Tk 40.42 crore in
revenue from its consumers in Sylhet division during the 1999-2000
fiscal.
PDB
officials said an amount of Tk 22.43 crore still remains unpaid as
revenue collection drive in the division is being hampered due to
shortage of manpower and logistic support.
But
the consumers accused the PDB officials of indulging in irregularities
in bill distribution and taking bribe though linemen.
