Pirojpur,
July 27 (UNB) – Local Relief and Rehabilitation Department
implemented 289 projects under its special rural infrastructure
maintenance program during the 1999-2000 fiscal.
Some
407 metric tons of wheat were allocated for implementing the projects
of which 78 were executed in Sadar, 20 in Nazirpur, four in Mathbaria,
80 in Bhandaria, 20 in Kaokhali, 10 in Nesarabad upazilas and 77 in
municipality areas of the district.
The
project works include construction and reconstruction of roads and
pools, and earth filling of educational and religious institutions.
