July 10, 2000 Netrakona, July 9 (UNB) – Adulterated cement is being sold rampantly in all the 10 upazilas of the district before the nose of the law enforcing agencies. It is alleged that traders are selling low quality cement of 48-bag kg instead of 50 kg in different markets.
While contacted, the wholesalers blamed the retailers for the malpractice saying that they have nothing to do in this regard. Local people urged the concerned authority to take immediate steps to prevent selling of adulterated cement. |
