June 30 (UNB) – Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) has
announced a Tk 43.77 crore budget for fiscal 2000-2001.
BAU
Treasurer and Finance Committee Secretary placed the new budget for
fiscal 2000-2001 and the revised budget for fiscal 1999-2000 at a
Finance Committee meeting of the BAU Syndicate on June 28. Vice
Chancellor Prof Dr M Anwarul Islam presided over the session.
Of
the total amount, Tk 1.75 crore will come from the university’s own
resources while Tk 40.02 crore from government grant through
University Grant Commission (UGC), said a BAU press release.
The
BAU Treasurer said Tk 34.88 crore has been earmarked for salaries and
pensions of the university teachers, officers and employees while Tk
5.56 crore for general miscellaneous and Tk 3.33 crore for education
miscellaneous sectors.
