Manikganj, May 23 (UNB) – At least 25 people were injured in separate clashes between rival groups at South Makimpur and Raipur villages in sadar upazila today (Tuesday).

 

Police said Shahar Ali along with his men of South Makimpur attacked the house of one Kafiluddin over land dispute at about 7 am injuring 10 people including four of the family.

 

Seriously injured Kafiluddin (45), his wife Rokeya (30), daughter Nazma (15) and son Jasim (10) were admitted to Manikganj Sadar Hospital.

 

Meanwhile, at least 15 people were injured in another clash at village Raipur that took place between the supporters of Nabu Mia and Julumuddin centering trivial matter.

 

The clash ensued at about 10 am. Of the injured, Julumuddin (30), his wife Rahima (20), Shefali (25), Sonaban (50) and Shamol (4) were admitted to the Sadar Hospital.
