Khagrachhari, May 24 (UNB)- “Bangalee Krishak Sramik Kalyan Parishad ” Tuesday demanded to include the internal Bangalee refugees in the refugee list in light with the announcement of the Prime Minster.

The Parishad, a cluster village based organization, announced their seven-point demand including updating the refugee list at a press briefing at the local press club.

Abdul Awal, general secretary of the organization, in his written statement alleged that majority Bangalees were excluded from the internal refugee list through various conspiracies due to strong opposition from Parbatya Chattagram Jano Sanghati Samity.

He said most of the Bangalees were excluded due to the negligence of the headmen and their refusal to recommend the Bangalees.

He demanded that like 60,000 repatriate refugees from India and 90,000 internal tribal refugees some 1.5-lakh Bangalee families should be included in the refugee list and rehabilitated properly.
