Joypurhat,
Sept 17 (UNB)- A youth was killed and at least 10 other people were
injured in a traffic mishap near Udayan Filling Station in the town on
Joypurhat-Bogra highway Thursday.
Police
and witnesses said the accident took place at about 3pm when a
passenger bus bound for Joypurhat coming from Bogra rammed into a
rickshaw-van. As a result, both the vehicles skidded off the road.
The
dead was identified as van passenger Firoz Hossain (22).
Nine
of the injured were identified as Nurul Amin, 38, Mukta, 4, Ebadat,
45, Abul Kalam Azad, 22, Jahanara, 45, Asma, 26, Farzana, 4, Ershad,
23 and Shahina, 25. Later all the injured except Azad, Ershad and
Nurul were released from the hospital after first aid.
The
body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed.
