Dhaka, May 21 (UNB) – Dhaka University Journalists’ Association (DUJA) today brought out a silent procession on the campus demanding exemplary punishment of a Chhatra League leader who roughed up two journalists on Saturday.

Dhaka University correspondent of Bangladesh Observer Tanveer Mahmud and of Daily Star Mahbub Zaman Nahid were allegedly beaten up on the campus by Mazharul Islam Kajol, general secretary of Sergeant Zahurul Huq Hall of Dhaka University and his boys.

A large number of DU students joined the procession demanding immediate trial of the accused. Later, DUJA held a brief rally in front of the DUCSU Bhaban.
