Cox’s Bazar, Feb 26 (UNB) – BNP-led panel swept the local Bar Association election securing 13 of 17 posts including the key positions of president and general secretary.
Advocate Abul Ala was elected president while Advocate Nurul Islam and Farid Uddin won posts of vice presidents and Advocate Mostaq Ahmed Chowdhury was elected general secretary in the annual election held on Saturday.
Some 257 voters out of total 283 cast their votes in the election, Bar Association sources said.
