Comilla, May 10 (UNB)- Police arrested three women with 220 bottles of Indian phensidyl from Bibir Bazar road in the suburb here on Friday.

 

Police said Pakhi wife of late Khorshed Mia, Rehana wife of Anwar Mia of Bagichagaon in the town and Jamila Khatun of Dharmapur village of Sadar upzila were arrested while carrying the contraband in two rickshaws.

 

In another drive the patrol police arrested two muggers along with stolen goods worth about Tk 50,000 from Tomsom Bridge area in the town on May 2.

 

Police said the hoodlums were fleeing after robbing an electric shop in the Lawyers Market at Civil Court road in the town on the night.

 

Two separate cases were filed with the Sadar thana police.
