Chittagong, Apr 23 (UNB) – Breaking cars on the street has so far been a means of political protest in Bangladesh’s baroque politics. But now family feuds are also triggering such vandalism.

A taxi driver, who got angry following a quarrel with his father, today damaged some 15-20 vehicles on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway disrupting vehicular traffic on the busy route for over an hour.

Witnesses said Helaluddin, 30, of Fakirhat in Sitakundu thana stormed out of home and unleashed vandalism on the highway at noon.

He left the spot safely as the witnesses got thundered with the rampage. A case was filed with Sitakundu thana in this connection.
