Brahmanbaria, Jan 19 (UNB) – Some 383 villages of the district were brought under electrification programme in last four years.
Rural Electrification Board (REB) brought the villages under its network through Palli Bidyut Samiti (PBS) with financial assistance from the Kuwait government.
PBS sources said a 656-km electricity line was installed and 2,114 transformers were set up in the district to supply electricity to the villages.
Meanwhile, PBS has got over 36,316 consumers in the villages.
