Bogra, Mar 28 (UNB) – An opinion exchange meting with newsmen was held at the local press club Sunday on holding the next general election in a peaceful manner.

District unit of Fare Election Monitory Alliance (FEMA) organized the meeting in which its general secretary Fazilatun Nesa delivered the written speech.

FEMA president Haji Shamsur Rahman presided over the meeting. The speakers sought cooperation and recommendations from conscious people to hold the ensuing general election peacefully.

Another reports adds: The government has started distributing allowances to the insolvent freedom fighters in Rajshahi division.

There are over 7,000 distressed freedom fighters in 16 districts of the division. Each destitute freedom fighter will get Tk 300 per month from March to August, official sources said.
