Bogra, Jan 6 (UNB) – Four people were killed and 10 injured when a bus skidded off the road after one of its tires burst at Godarpara on the Bogra-Rangpur highway today (Saturday).

Police said the bus plunged into water at about 11.30am leaving its four passengers dead on the spot. Two of them were identified as Abdul Hamid, 45, and Shahin, 20, of Shibganj upazila in Bogra.

The injured were admitted to local hospitals.

In another road accident, an unidentified rickshaw-van driver, aged about 20, was crushed under the wheels of a speeding truck near Subil Bridge in the town at about 1pm.

Besides, Suruj Mia, 35, of village Muradpur in Shibganj upazila who was injured in a road accident few days ago succumbed to his injuries at Bogra Mohammad Ali Hospital today.
