Bagerhat, May 20 (UNB) - Implementation work of 13 development projects at a cost of Tk 24 lakh is progressing fast in nine upazilas of the district.

The District Council is financing the projects from its own resources under a Rural Development Programme undertaken for the current fiscal year.

The projects include construction and repair of rural roads and low-cost bridges and renovation of some union parishad offices.

Sources said about 60 percent work on the projects has already been completed and the rest is expected to be finished by June next.

The district council earlier implemented four development projects under current the ADP in Kachua upazila at a cost of Tk 1.85 lakh.
