TCSB Drama Festival 2001 :  TCSD, a theater for humanity and human rights in association with Norwegian Embassy will inaugurate the second 5-districts Drama Festival 2001. On the First day of the festival Madhu will be staged by Hisna Theatre of Veramara and Bera will be staged by Darpan Theater of Kushtia.

RMMRU talk : Refugee and Migratory Movement Research Unit (RMMRU) of Dhaka University will hold a talk on "Perspective on Human Rights in Africa Today". 

Venue : Seminar Room of Faculty of Arts, Arts Building DU campus.

Contemporary European Film festival  : On the first day of the  7 day long Contemporary European Film Festival celebrating its 15th anniversary (16 May 1986 -16May 2001) Zahir Raihan Film Society will screen two films : " Meeting Venues " be Hungarian Filmmaker lstvan Szabo and "Danton" by Polish Filmmaker Andrzej Wajda. 

Venue : German Cultural Center Road No 9, Dhanmondi. 

Time : 4.30 pm and 6.30 pm respectively. 


TCSD Drama Festival 2001 : Two dramas Madhumati by Ulka Natya Gosthi of Alamdanga and Dinu Dom by Nagorik Natya Dal of Chuadanga, on the second day of the festival. 

Venue : Shawkat Osman Smriti Auditorium, begum Sufia Kamal central Public Library, Shahbag.
